District Committee Member's Key Knot


Tenure Within a five-year period, complete at least three years of registered tenure as a member of a district committee as the chair of one of the operating committees. (This can include the tenure used to earn the District Committee Training Award.) Training Do the following during the tenure used for this award: Attend a District Committee Training Workshop. Complete Staffing the District Committee training. Complete This Is Scouting training. Performance Do the following during the tenure used for this award: Serve in a district that achieves at least the Bronze level of Journey to Excellence for at least two of the years. (The Quality District Award is acceptable if the tenure used is prior to 2011.) Take part actively in at least twelve district committee meetings. Give primary leadership in meeting at least the Silver level of at least one district Journey to Excellence objective in each year. Participate in at least one additional supplemental or advanced training event at the council, area, region, or national level.
